Itinerary

(DAY 1) Friday 24th November

A taxi will collect you from home and bring you to the coach to join your driver and fellow passengers. We will follow a scenic route through the Thames Valley and the Cotswolds to arrive at our hotel by the end of the afternoon. Time to relax and enjoy a swim in the indoor pool before a three-course dinner with tea/coffee included.

(DAY 2) Saturday 25th November

After breakfast we will drive to Birmingham. Each winter the City Centre comes alive with the arrival of the German Market. The largest German Christmas Market outside Germany or Austria, it offers a vast range of traditional goods and gifts, including handcrafted decorations, toys and jewellery. You will also find a selection of tempting food and drink. Pretzels, schnitzels, bratwursts, and roasted almonds will tempt your taste buds, and can be washed down with glühwein or hot chocolate. There is a separate Craft Market nearby in Centenary Square. Of course Birmingham also has a great selection of shops, both large and small. You will be able toput your purchases on the coach before heading to the Barclaycard Arena to experience the pomp and pageantry of the International Tattoo. Britain’s biggest indoor Tattoo includes massed bands, spectacular displays and the Field Gun Competition with crews from the Navy, Army and Air Force. Traditionally, the evening concludes with a spectacular Grand Finale with Land of Hope and Glory, the Evening Hymn and the Lone Piper. Dinner is not included at the Hotel today.

(DAY 3) Sunday 26th November

Spend this morning relaxing at our hotel and reading the Sunday papers, or take the coach into Stourport for a gentle stroll around the historic canal basins. Sunday lunch is included, after which we drive home to meet the waiting taxis.
