Built in the 18th century by a wealthy wool merchant, Nidd is a potpourri of architectural styles. It is rumoured that Edward VIII met Wallis Simpson at a party here. The 4-star hotel is set in 45 acres of grounds amid the North Yorkshire countryside. During the day you can enjoy the pool or putting green, and take part in a wide range of activities including table tennis, snooker, archery and lawn darts. Our excursions will take you to Harrogate, home of the famous Betty’s Tea Room, and through the Yorkshire Dales National Park for a visit to the Wensleydale Creamery. Find out how Yorkshire Wensleydale has been made through the centuries, visit the Cheese Museum, and sample a range of delicious cheeses in the shop.
