This tour is based at the Metropole Hotel in the Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells, a luxurious base from which to explore the beautiful Heart of Wales.
In addition to spending time in Llandrindod Wells, where you can visit the National Cycle Museum to see hundreds of bicycles in period settings, your holiday includes these excursions:
Welshpool and Powis Castle
This National Trust property is a medieval castle, fortress and grand country mansion, with a world-famous garden.
The Elan Valley
Sometimes referred to as ‘The Welsh Lake District’. A beautiful area, covering 72 square miles, with ever changing scenery and a series of dams and reservoirs, a working legacy of remarkable Victorian engineering.
A drive through the Cambrian Mountainsto Devil’s Bridge. Here we will join a steam train, one of the Great Little Railways of Wales, for a 12-mile ride through spectacular scenery to the coast at Aberystwyth.
Abbey-Cwm-Hir Hall, one of Wales’ finest examples of Victorian Gothic Revival Architecture. The Red Kite Feeding Centre.Enjoy these amazing birds of prey as you have never seen them before. A workshop tour at Welsh Royal Crystalwith a demonstration by one of their Master Craftsmen.

On today’s homeward journey we will pass Builth Wells and the dramatic Black Mountains before returning to England over the Severn Bridge. We will make a lunch stop in the elegant town of Marlborough and continue to Sussex during the afternoon to meet the waiting taxis.
