Itinerary

(DAY 1) Friday 15th December

A taxi will collect you from home and bring you to our coach to join your driver and fellow travellers. We will make our way to Wilton near Salisbury for a lunch break at Wilton Shopping Village. Discover an historic courtyard, shops, restaurant and an antique centre, all housed within part of the original Wilton Carpet Factory built in 1710. This afternoon we continue across Salisbury Plain to reach our hotel in good time for dinner.

(DAY 2) Saturday 16th December

An excursion through The Cotswolds to the spa town of Cheltenham. There will be time to visit the Christmas Market, held on the promenade, and featuring around 40 stalls selling a range of Christmas gifts, crafts, food and drink. We will also take a trip on the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Heritage Railway to enjoy wonderful views of sleepy Cotswolds villages. The return coach journey takes us via Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford and the Thames Valley.

(DAY 3) Sunday 17th December

After breakfast we will drive to the charming Somerset town of Frome a morning coffee stop. A short distance away is Longleat, where our visit will start with a tour of the famous Safari Park, followed by time to visit the House with  its giant Christmas tree and costumed characters. The Festival of Light features stunning Chinese lanterns lighting up the Longleat landscape and bring to life the magic of storytelling. Drawing inspiration from classic tales, you will be transported into a world of fantasy - a land where mermaids swim, princesses live, firebirds fly and dragons roar !  We return to the hotel for a slightly later dinner.

(DAY 4) Monday 18th December

This morning we will take you to the Great Wester Designer Outlet. If you have not yet finished your Christmas shopping this is the place !  Housed in the cleverly restored buildings of the old GWR railway works are over 100 stores, including a John Lewis Home outlet. We shall stay for a couple of hours before making our way home to Sussex to meet the waiting taxis.
