Overview

The ancient and world-famous University City of Oxford stands on three main waterways – the River Cherwell, the Thames, and the Oxford Canal. There will be plenty of time in which to explore the City, perhaps visiting one or more of the beautiful old colleges that make up the University, founded in the 12th century or Oxford Castle, which until 1996 was a prison. The city offers a wealth of shopping, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
