Sezincote House and Gardens
Friday 25th August 2017
Sezincote House is built from red sandstone in a Neo-Mughal style, reflecting the importance of India in the British Empire at the time of building in the early 1800’s. The interior of the house is purely classical, with no attempt to recreate the Indian theme in its decoration. The house is set in a romantic landscape of temples, grottoes, waterfalls and canals reminiscent of the Taj Mahal. We have arranged a private tour of the house and afterwards we shall stop in the town of Stow on the Wold where there will be time to have a late lunch.
