Overview

Today we will make our way into East Sussex, arriving in the historic medieval town of Rye where there will be time to find lunch. Originally the sea flowed right up to the south side of Rye, and though the sea is now two miles away, the town is still surrounded by water on three sides and has a harbour and small fishing fleet. In the afternoon we drive into Kent, passing through the unique and distinctive landscape of Romney Marsh. We shall stop in Tenterden where there will be time to find tea before we journey home.
