Overview

Today we will make our way into East Sussex, arriving in the historic medieval town of Rye where there will be time to find lunch. Originally the sea flowed right up to the south side of Rye, and though the sea is now two miles away, the town is still surrounded by water on three sides and has a harbour and small fishing fleet. We aim to allow approximately two hours in Rye. On our return journey we drive through the Kent High Weald, stopping in Tunbridge Wells where there will be time to purchase tea.
