Overview

Today we shall take a drive through the New Forest, endeavouring to show you the best parts of this remarkable corner of the English countryside. It was set aside in 1079 by William the Conqueror, so is hardly new and in 2005 the whole 220 square miles were designated a National Park. At lunchtime we shall stop in the town of Ringwood and we shall make a stop for tea earlier in the day (cost of refreshments not included).
