Mottisfont Abbey & Gardens
Monday 3rd June 2019
Beautifully set near a tributary of the River Test, Mottisfont Abbey was converted into a house following the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the mid 16th century. Within the walled garden is the National Collection of Heritage Roses and we time our visit to hopefully see them at their best. The House contains the cellarium of the priory and a drawing room with stunning decoration by Rex Whistler. There is a National Trust restaurant and Gift Shop.
