Montacute House, located close to the town of Yeovil, is a country house built of honey-coloured stone and is often described as a masterpiece of Elizabethan Renaissance architecture and design. With its towering walls of glass, glow of ham stone, and its surrounding gardens it is a place of beauty and wonder. The house is home to some fascinating tapestries, each telling their own unique story and the 52 metre Long Gallery, home to a collection of Tudor portraits from the National Portrait Gallery. The house sits in grounds of 260 acres and 10 acres of beautiful formal gardens.
The cafe serves a variety of locally sourced hot and cold meals, snacks and cakes.
