Leeds Castle Festival of Flowers
Saturday 15th September 2018
Beautiful Leeds Castle in Kent was a Norman stronghold and royal residence for six of the medieval Queens of England. It is located in
a tranquil setting on an island and there are 500 acres of beautiful parkland together with excellent restaurant facilities. As well as the castle, attractions include the Maze & Underground Grotto, the Bird of Prey Centre, the Dog Collar Museum and an exhibition commemorating the Battle of Agincourt. We time our visit to see the Festival of Flowers, during which the castle rooms are transformed into works of art using flowers by international and award winning florists and floral designers. There is a walk of 10-15 minutes from the entrance to the main castle building, however there is a land-train and a mobility bus available to transport you.
