Overview

We drive to Lacock in Wiltshire – a 13th Century village and the back drop for many film and TV productions including Harry Potter and Pride & Prejudice.  Lacock Abbey sits at the heart of the village, surrounded by informal woodland grounds and gardens.  In its 800 years of history, Lacock has been many things; an Augustinian abbey, the home of a Tudor rogue, a Gothic ruin and the birthplace of photography.  The quaint  village of Lacock comprising of its  quaint cottages, old workhouse, the medieval tithe barn, the old lock-up and the village church has three pubs, two tea rooms, a restaurant and a bakery
