Overview

Hughenden Manor is the former home of Victorian Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli and much of the house is decorated as it would have been in his time. During the Second World War the house was  code-named Hillside. It was here that  the Air Ministry analysed aerial photography of Germany and created maps for bombing missions, including the famous Dambusters Raid.  We shall leave Hughenden in the afternoon and drive to Henley on Thames, where there will be time to find tea before we return home.
