Situated on the banks of the River Thames, Ham is one of London’s treasure houses and gardens. With a substantial collection of 17th-Century paintings, furniture and textiles, Ham reveals what life looked like during the reign of Charles I and II. The ongoing re-creation of the garden features a large walled kitchen garden, a formal lavender garden and a woodland wilderness. Prior to arriving at Ham for an afternoon visit we shall have approximately 2 hours in Kingston upon Thames where there are plenty of places to find lunch. There is a small cafe at Ham House serving light refreshment.
