Saturday 23rd September 2017
Duxford is Europe’s premier aviation museum, part of the Imperial War Museum and home to many military and civil British aircraft, including a Concorde. There is a separate building the recently refurbished American Air Museum which explores the collaboration between America and Britain, from the First World War to the present day. Today Duxford holds one of its main Air Shows of the year – “The Battle of Britain Air Show” which brings to life the airfield’s finest hour as an important World War II fighter station and home to the legendary Spitfire.
