The Cotswold market town of Cirencester is renowned for having a wealth of history and heritage dating back as far as the Roman Empire and the town, often called the capital of The Cotswolds, contains many interesting buildings spanning several centuries. The weekly market is held in the square and is dominated by the cathedral-like Parish Church of St. John Baptist (one of the largest in England). There are plenty of eateries in which to find lunch. We aim to give about 4 hours in Cirencester.
