Overview
Lavenham, in Suffolk, is one of the finest medieval villages in England. Its timber-framed buildings and beautiful church of St.Peter and St.Paul, built on the success of the wool trade, make it a fascinating place to explore today. At its heart is the Guildhall of Corpus Christi, now owned by the National Trust. Before arriving in Lavenham we shall have some time in the historic market town of Bury St.Edmunds, famous for the Abbey Cathedral of St.Edmundsbury.
