Overview

We join the John Pinkerton II for a relaxing afternoon cruise on the Basingstoke Canal. Departing from Odiham and travelling at less than 3 mph, there is plenty of time to admire the passing countryside, spot the deer in the fields, and count the young ducklings and goslings. You may even see the bright flash of a kingfisher darting ahead of the boat, or the majestic flight of a heron circling round to return to its favourite bank to continue fishing.  Whilst on board you will enjoy a Cream Tea of scone, jam and cream accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee.  If you would like further refreshment there is a licenced bar on board.  Prior to our cruise we shall visit Winchester, where there will be time to find lunch.

Please note that access to the boat is via 5 steps down from the rear deck and may unsuitable for those that find stairs difficult.
